AVM Requirements

Longterm Requirements
In order to be considered as an applicant for full-time missionary service with Alaska Village Missions you must:

• Have a testimony of salvation through Jesus Christ and be a person of high moral standards.
• Have the desire to work with a team of like-minded people toward a common goal.
• Agree with and abide by the Alaska Village Missions doctrinal statement.
• Have a history of involvement in a local church with positive references.
• Meet the educational, training and experience requirements for your position.  Most positions will require, at a minimum, the completion of two years of formal Bible training.
• Be willing to make a long-term commitment to serve with AVM.  The minimum long-term commitment is four years.
• Be of good physical and mental health.
• Be willing to raise 100% of the required financial support for you and your family.
• Be able to perform the duties described in the AVM job description for your position.
• Be willing to work under the leadership of Alaska Village Missions and its Board of Directors.

 

Short-Term Requirements
In order to be considered as an applicant for part-time missionary service with Alaska village Missions you must:

• Have a testimony of salvation through Jesus Christ and be a person of high moral standards.
• Have the desire to work with a team of like-minded people toward a common goal.
• Agree with and abide by the Alaska Village Missions doctrinal statement.
• Have a history of involvement in a local church with positive references.
• Be of good physical and mental health.
• Have the required financial resources needed for your length of service.
• Be willing to work under the leadership of Alaska Village Missions and its Board of Directors.
