Missionaries
Eric and Katrina Rozeboom

Eric and Katrina Rozeboom have been serving with Alaska Village Missions since 2004. Eric is the Vice President of Alaska Bible Institute, where he also serves as an instructor. Katrina works with the Women’s Ministry course and assists in many other areas of ministry. The Rozebooms have led mission teams to native villages and spent summers in the native village of Port Graham, pastoring the church there. They are thrilled to be serving God in the beautiful state of Alaska, and count it a great privilege to give their lives to fulfilling the Great Commission.
Eric was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Katrina comes from Richmond, Virginia. Eric completed the two-year program at the ALERT Academy and graduated with a major in leadership and management. He also completed a one-year program with the TELOS Institute where he worked with juvenile delinquents and studied child and youth character development. He studied for two years at Magdalen College in Minnesota before transferring to Louisiana Baptist University to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Sciences. Eric earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University. Katrina completed three years at the Rockford Master’s Commission in Rockford, IL.
Eric and Katrina both began at ABI as students, Eric in 2003 and Katrina in 2004. After meeting at ABI, they were married in August of 2005. Although Eric had been teaching part-time, they transitioned to full-time staff directly after their wedding. Since then they have lived on campus and they now have three children, Jude, Asher, and Evangeline. During this time Eric has also been involved in other local ministries such as serving on staff at their church and being on the board of a youth center.
The Rozebooms have committed their lives to answering Jesus’ call to make disciples. It is their desire to see the gospel transform the lives of the students at Alaska Bible Institute and the people they minister to in villages. At ABI Eric has served in the position of instructor, Dean of Students, and most recently Vice-President of the school. Eric has taught courses such as Poetic Books, Acts, Romans and many others in which he works to see the students apply what they are learning to their lives. Outside the classroom the Rozebooms enjoy having coffee with students, having them down to their home for meals and games, and interacting with them in other ways that provide opportunities for discipleship to take place.
The Rozebooms are full-time missionaries with AVM. They depend on churches and others to partner with them as they serve in Alaska. If you would like to be added to the Rozebooms’ prayer team or support them financially, please contact them. They also send out regular newsletters and other updates about their ministry in Alaska. Be sure to let them know if you want to be added to their mailing list.
